Dr. Tanner L. Crandall came to the practice in 2019, marking the first time that there were two dentists in this office in its history. In 2020, another remodel was done to allow for more space to accommodate the two doctors as well as the still growing patient base. Dr. Rooney owned the practice until the end of 2021, when he transitioned ownership to Dr. Crandall. The name of the practice changed from R. Keith Rooney, DDS, P.C. to TLC Family Dentistry, LLC. The goal is to keep everything the same in the office—from excellent patient care to the same smiling faces of the staff—while transitioning to the next generation of family dentistry at 7625 S Meridian Street!

About Us
Our office has been here since 1965, almost 60 years! Dr. James P. Edwards was the first dentist, originally renting a chair from Tom’s Barber Shop after his graduation from dental school in 1964 before moving to the location we’re at today after the completion of this building in 1965. Dr. Edwards sold the practice to Dr. R. Keith Rooney in February 1992 and went back to the IU School of Dentistry for an advanced program in general dentistry and sedation techniques. In 1999, it was time for Dr. Rooney to remodel the practice to allow more space for a growing patient base.
